Our Story

The Collignon family has deep roots and strong wings.  While past family generations have had monumental successes in commerce, there has always been a love of the earth. A passion for working with our hands and in the soil. Working in unison with nature to create something in concert with creation. Nestled in this desire to meld with creation is also a burning drive for innovation. We strive to look at new ways to make this world a better place for everyone.

In 2014, our family was presented with an opportunity to acquire and become stewards of the Mebane Manor and surrounding 60 acres. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the mountains in Pulaski County Virginia, this historic structure seemed to yearn to reclaim its past significance and grander.  The elegance of this Manor, coupled with the perfect natural setting, made it an ideal location to begin our journey of growing grapes and producing wine.

Just a year later, we began to make this dream a reality.  Seven (7) acres of land were carefully selected and allocated to the establishment of a Vineyard.  While our goal is to produce world-class wine for the enjoyment of our patrons, it was then and will always be important to us that we stay true to our values and vision in this journey.

We prefer natural over synthetic solutions to our challenges.   We love this earth and want to do our part to ensure it can be enjoyed by many, many future generations.  So, whether it be fertilizer, weed management, or pest control, we strive to find natural rather than synthetic solutions.  Our ultimate goal is to create a completely sustainable process for which to grow our grapes and produce our wine.

We value and support our business ecosystem. Sustainability is not just about the land; it is also about people.  We want to create an environment that supports our people, suppliers, community, and clients.  Our goal is not to profit at the expense of others, but to succeed hand in hand in our valued relationships.

Innovation is in our DNA.  The pace of change in the world today can be overwhelming.  Those who embrace change and find ways to solve tomorrow’s problems will be the leaders of the future.  We are committed to striving for continuous improvement in every aspect of our lives and business.

Last but not least, we love wine.  It has been a source of enjoyment and pleasure for thousands of years.  We look forward to the opportunity to work together and ultimately enrich your life with our amazing wines.
